Biomonitoring study of trace metals (Al, As, Li) in mussels from Al Hoceima coastline of Moroccan Mediterranean Sea

Mytilus galloprovincialis are commonly used as heavy metal biomonitors across the world. In present work, contents of three elements (Al, As, Li) were analyzed in using Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES 720-ES). Samples soft tissues collected monthly 2020, from sites mussel farming facilities installed Al Hoceima Sea. The decreasing order mean element was > As Li. lowest values metallic found summer and highest indicated winter. Positive correlations between these chlorophyll a indicating importance diet for bioaccumulation metals mussels. addition, our results show that temperature salinity increase with bioavailability suggesting influence chemical properties physical kinetics changes solution. On other hand, strong observed can be elucidated by their common sources. this study may useful use M. , environmental biomonitoring studies.
